TRAIL MAP FOR BIKING THE MOOSE AREA OF JACKSON HOLE

1. Antelope Flats road: A flat easy bike ride through the heart of the Jackson Hole Valley, expect to see bison, and possibly pronghorn and coyotes.

2. Shadow Mountain: A more aggressive mountain biking area with endless amounts of single track trails and one strenuous hill climb.

3.The Inner Loop:  The picturesque western road of the park.  A very scenic and popular route. This part of the route features a NEW paved bike/ pedestrian trail, starting at Adventure Sports so that bikers no longer have to share the road. Save on gas and entrance fees, and ride all the way to Jenny Lake without getting sideswiped by an RV!

4. The RKO road: an unimproved road on the west shelf of the Snake River. Gorgeous views but very rocky. Accessible from the new multiuse trail through the park.

5. Jenny Lake: a large, sparkling lake right at the foot of the Grand Teton and Cascade Canyon. This is the terminus of the new, paved, multi-use trail that begins at Adventure Sports (as do so many wonderful things in Jackson Hole!). A great trail along the east side of the lake.

Jenny Lake is a popular destination, offering fishing, day hikes to Hidden Falls, scenic boat rides, picnicking, Exum Mountain Guides, concessions and services (including a really fabulous restaurant at Jenny Lake Lodge), and trailheads for getting into the exquisite backcountry of Grand Teton National Park.

6. String Lake: Clear, shallow, sparkling lake, good for swimming in late summer.  Good for fishing as well. Portage to Leigh Lake.

Leigh Lake: Breathtaking and secluded, this lake will get you to the base of Mount Moran for a summit attempt as well as numerous rustic camp sites on the shore.

7. Oxbow Bend: A flat water bend in the Snake River, this spot is where it's at for wildlife and mountain photography.  Arrive at dawn or dusk for prime wildlife viewing.
